Location

The Center for Media and Interactivity (ZMI) is located at Ludwigstrasse 34, on the first floor of an old villa directly across the street from the main building of Justus Liebig University Giessen. A lecture theater, the Margarete-Bieber-Saal, also belongs to the building, which has formerly been the home of the Department for Historic Art, and is regularly used by the ZMI for conferences and events.

How to find us

By car

If you are traveling by car you have to take the "Giessener Ring", which can be reached in different ways:

Coming from the south:
At "Gambacher Dreieck" (A 5) turn onto the A 45 (towards Siegen, Dortmund). At the first exit "Giessener Südkreuz" leave the autobahn towards Giessen. Leave the "Giessener Ring" at the exit "Schiffenberger Tal".

Coming from the north:
Leave the autobahn at "Reiskirchener Dreieck" (A 5). On the "Giessener Ring" take the exit "Schiffenberger Tal".

Coming from the west:
Leave the autobahn towards Giessen at "Wetzlar Ost" (A 45). At "Autobahndreieck Bergwerkswald" (B 49) drive towards Marburg, Kassel. Leave the autobahn at "Schiffenberger Tal".

In order to get to the ZMI, after you have left the "Giessener Ring" at the exit "Schiffenberger Tal" drive towards "Giessen Stadtmitte" (city center).

By train

By the trains of Deutsche Bahn Giessen is accessible almost every hour from the high speed train (ICE) stations in Frankfurt am Main (duration approx. 40 minutes) or Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe (duration approx. 80 minutes).

By plane

Coming from Frankfurt Airport there are trains running regularly from Frankfurt main station to Giessen.

By bus

If you take the bus within Giessen get off at "Berliner Platz" (take the bus lines 1, 2, 3, 6, or 7). From there you go towards Ludwigstrasse, which is just around the corner. The ZMI is located at a walking distance of about 10 minutes.
